Just wondering if the rest of you turbo (auto trans ) guys were getting mad backfiring between shifts? Mine sounds like it's rippin ass evertime I get on the gas hard.

I'm running a SFMU with MSD fuel pump on a Gottude stage one Garret T3 turbo. I'm running the largest disk with the standard spring and stock injectors. Idle fuel pressure is between 45ish and 50psi. I'm hitting between 5-8ish PSI.

any help would be appreciated.

Depending on how much boost I'm running, I will route my BOV back into the intake. It helps with backfiring between gears due to a rich fuel mixture. When I'm boosting 18+ psi, my engine runs better with the BOV venting to the atmosphere.

BTW- how do you like being boosted? Just wait until you crank up the boost... anything over 15 psi is a blast!

I'm running stock injectors with the SFMU (dark spring with the largest disk combo). Everytime I get on it, my exhaust 'farts' and a cloud of black smoke goes after. My friend, Fast420A, who was behind me said that it looked like there was a faint flame that emanated from my tip a while back.

i bet it's because you're running the largest disk in the sfmu. you're probably really rich. what are your fuel trims? i would either get the bleed valve for the sfmu or just run the 2.72" disk/ring

yea, mine sometimes wheezes between shifts too. i got rid of my cat, and it got a lot better. i found opening up my exhaust helped some.

i dont *backfire* though. more just sounds like my car has emphysema. this is at 6 psi.

I know I'm running rich. autometer blinkey o2 tells me I'm richer than Don King. I haven't hooked up my EGT yet.

I don't want to start puling back fuel until I have my EGT working. What temp should I get my EGT's up to once I get my EGT working. In Degrees Celcius please emoji
