hypoctrite I am I'm gonna ask here so you dont have to keep looking down the same 20+ threads of the old topic (hope you have some time this Q long and actually quite a few questions).
The basic queation is this: Just about all of us here are using some sort of rising rate regulator wether it be a 1:1 or 12:1. Fuel pressures from 30 static and below (should nitrous even be run below 40psi or so static?) up to over 100psi. Assuming fuel and engine strength is adequate how much do these constant changes in pressure (sometimes 60psi and greater) affect nitrous use. Now I'm pretty sure a 1:1 regulator and 10psi isn't going to pose many if any problems but at what point does the rate of rising fuel pressure pose problems for the fuel side of a wet system? Do fuel solinoid lock up like nitrous solinoids from too high pressure? Do large increases in fuel pressure have a large or minimal affect on regulation by the fuel jet? Other than running too rich (if thats the case) are there any catastrophies that can happen from rising fuel pressure (Seems the theory is rising fuel pressure will cause too much fuel to pass through the fuel jet screwing up the nitrous/fuel ratio and est hp from jetting. I see this as a car that might not run like its suppose to but dont really see harm other then that associated with running too rich. not to say there is nothing detremental about running grossly rich).

We have only used nitrous on 420A applications when we are also using our Auxiliary Management System that incorporates the ACCEL-DFI computer. These are always 1:1 regulator setups, so the fuel supply is fairly straightforward. We will use the main fuel injectors to provide the nitrous fuel enrichment via the DFI. Very clean, simple and effective: all Len's street Neon had on it was one nitrous solenoid and one nitrous only nozzle. No separte fuel system is needed for the nitrous enrichment. With the 1:1 regulator setup, one could also use a conventional 'wet' setup in lieu of the DFI controlled enrichment.
I am not aware of an effective method to use nitrous with the VROG hi-gain fuel regulators, having never done so.

I might be able to answer some of those questions. I am running direct port wet shot along with the stage 5 kit. I would not use nitrous (especially direct port) at any fuel pressure below 40psi (I think NOS reccomends 45psi). running excessive fuel pressure will just richen the mixture, and you won't get as much power from the nitrous as you would if the mixture was correct (running rich). I wouldn't use EXTREME fuel pressures (90 psi+)in the nos system. it shouldn't hurt it at all, but still, I wouldn't go that route fo rfear of jamming up the plunger in the solenoid or rupturing a line or something like that. 45 is a good area. it is best to make sure that you are getting at least 45 psi of pressure at 0 vaccuum (that is where it starts anyway). I have a 1:1 paxton regulator, and I am going to set my baseline pressure at 45. at high boost, that will give a good bit more fuel pressure than I would want for the nitrous, but I always have the accell to adjust enrichment when using the nos under low boost.
