I turned down my idle fuel pressure and now my car runs cooler during cruise and cooler under boost....unless as a direct result of me cruising cooler my boost temp is automaticaly cooler ??

And another question. What is the relay on the HRC fuel system actually for ?? Heres what I think it does...I think what it does is turns on the stock pump to load the HRC pump to provide more fuel during boost ?? So why is it bad to directly wire the pumps and leave out the relay ? the relay does not control voltage it only opens an avenue for current? Unless there is a capacitor in the relay, then thats another story...I would think that it would be safer to run the stock pump at all times...however, it will put wear and tear on the stock pump...???!!!

If I understand correctly, it sends power to the inline pump. I forget how the instructions say to wire it, but I am pretty sure HRC does it the same way I did mine. the relay is triggered py 12V going to the factory pump, and that allows for runnign a larger gauge power wire to the relay to the external pump that needs the extra current. The factory pump is supposed to work all the time, not just under boost.

So then are both pumps supposed to be working together all the time ?? and what would be the difference between running with or without the relay ??

Oh and could someone give me some insight on my recent temp change after the idle fuel adjustment ?

the reason for the relay is that the inline pump needs to be wired to the battery so it will have a constant power source. So if you did not have the relay then the pump would stay on with the car off because the pump would be hooked right up to the battery, so the relay allows the inline pump to get the constant voltage while still turning off when the car is off. When you turn the car on the power signal to the stock pump causes the relay to "open" and gives the inline pump its power.

The reason your EGT's have lowered when you lowered the base presure is because running to rich can also cause high EGT's. So if your base presure was say 70psi and under boost your FPR was rising the presure at say 6:1 then at 5psi your presure would be 100psi which may have been too rich and by you lowering the base presure to something like 60psi (like the instructions say) then you would be at 90psi under boost which might be just right.
