Ok Im still lost on this whole ventin your BOV stuff... When I vent my BOV (HKS standard) the air doesnt come out of the BOV itself, it comes out where the BOV piping connects to the turbo itself... Ive heard thats because of compression surge, so am I doing somethin wrong here? I dont wanna screw up my engine.

Sounds like to BOV isn't opening. Yopu did plumb a vacuum line to it, right?

It means... did you run a line from the manifold to the BOV?

If I ran a line from the manifold to the BOV i would be recirculating the BOV, I was tryin to vent the BOV... Doesnt that mean I wouldnt have anythin runnin off the top of the BOV, right?

Recirculating the BOV means the air vented from it is routed back into the intake piping. We are speaking of the small vacuum line that runs from the intake manifold to the BOV that aids in opening the BOV when the throttle plate closes creating vacuum in the system.

so, in short.... connect a vacuum line from the manifold to the BOV.

We can get even more basic than that. Your BOV should have 3 openings. 2 of them should have connections running to them - the actual piping itself and the plumbed vac line. The thrid should vent to the atmosphere. If your that confused I suggest you find someone with one that you can actually visually look at. Visual learning is good emoji

thier should be a small hose barb on the top of the bov, its not large like the other 2 openings. The is the signal line that tells your bov to open and release pressure. When you let off the gas pedal you will have compressed air in the intake pipes and vacume in the intake manifold because the throttle butterfly has closed. The signal line from the upper intake mani will then have vacume and between the vacume from there and the boost in the intake pipe will open the valve and release the pressure from the intake tubing out the opening in the bov out into the atmosphere.
