Will I need bigger injectors with: Walbro 255LPH HP in-tank fuel pump, SFMU, high flow fuel filter running 8-10psi. If so what size?

I personally think it's stupid to run any boost at all with factory injectors. They are freaking tiny, like 190cc or so. 8-9 psi would work well with 30# injectors, or 440cc injectors, but those are harder to get to idle correctly because you run such low fuel pressures at idle, the spray pattern of the injector becomes erratic.

get some 310cc (30#) injectors to lower the fuel pressure. less strain on the fuel system

you need high impotence (sp?) aka saturated. yes. ford injectors work.

Little clarity on the injectors in our cars, they are 235CC. Larger injectors can't hurt. I think ours are maxed at about 9lbs or so.

Since I am doing headgasket, etc work right now, I am going with 30lbs injectors. I will upgrade to the Vortech SFMU if I can't get the Cartech to run them right. Anyone have any issues with this set-up?

Well I need to add to this post also. Not trying to steal it just some more info. Well I'm running the stock injectors right now and under boost (5 psi) In second gear my EGT's go to 1500 and I have to get off of the gas. I'm using a vortech FMU and stock injectors. I have a set of 30#er's on my work bench at home. So if I swap them in I should be good to go? Or do I need to do the pressure regulator mod to the stock pressure regulator? I guess I need some help with the fuel system.

I have an auto also. Well if I drive it nice the EGT's only get to about 1350. I'm talking when I'm really on it.

Does it level off at 1500 or will it keep going? If it levels off it is ok. Just try not to let it get past 1600. If it goes past 1625-1650 you might have some problems.

I don't know I usally get off it. The guys at aseclub told me to go with an 8:1 disc and the 30# injectors. Oh I need to disable my stock fuel pressure regulator also.

Yeah, your stock FPR is supposed to be disabled (and check valve removed) when you first install the HRC kit (star too?) and put in an adjustable FPR.

Also, yes 30# (310cc) injectors are a direct drop in replacement. The factory ECU knows what to do with them. You may need to lower idle fuel pressure just a little to get it tuned.

almost. its walbro (or hrc high flow pump) intank pump, then filter, then inline fuel pump, to hardline. then from the check valve at the end of the fuel rail, a line leads to the side port of the sfmu, then at the bottom of the sfmu goes the return line that leads to the fuel tank.

oh, the inline part is for the hrc kit (not sure if star cames with one).
