I just hooked up the hydrolic lines to the new centerforce dual friction 90% over holding power clutch... we bled the line and we put some nice fluid in... it seems normal to push the clutch pedal down i was under the impression that it would be a little more difficult to engage.... but does the hydrolic fluid make it easier then a standard clutch cable? We haven't started the car up yet since the rebuild could it need to spin a little to tighten up?

You need to break in the clutch for about 500 miles.

Being a Centerforce, I wouldn't be surprised if it actually was made out of sponge. I wouldn't put that clutch in a demolition derby car. I wouldn't put that clutch in to drive a car to a junkyard.
Just my two cents.

And new clutches always feel a bit odd. Give it a few miles before you pass judgement. Hope that it doesn't blow up on you, and if it does, that it doesn't do much (any) real damage.

Maybe I should e-mail them and ask them to rename the CFDF to the CFRR, as in Centerforce Russian Roulette.

To be honest i'm not sure what brand it is i can't remember i would have to look at the receipts but im pritty sure thats what it is.. i think i bought it from jegs... I will ask tomorrow when i see my buddy who ordered it for me... the name rings a bell... what clutch do you recommend incase it does blow up on me.

Oh goodness i just found out i was wrong again.... I did get the Centerforce... now i'm starting to wish i would have done a little more research before purchasing a HP Clutch... So can anyone tell me why is the CF so hated? Has anyone had any good luck with it?
I dread the thought of yanking this clutch and buying a new one.....

It's not a centerforce clutch.. it's a clutch master.

Woops.. my bad... hopefully it's not a ticking time bomb anymore.

clutchmaster is much better brand but they do not sell a clutch witha stronger clamp load so i wont be harder to push...

and an average is 500-1500 miles for a clutch to fully seat
on our Pro Clutches we provide a 6month unlimited mile warranty because we know they withstand the abuse u can throw at them...
