so thats being powered from the electrical system? where is that energy coming from? turbos and superchargeres only increase the efficiency of the system, they dont add power to it. with that idea, you are doing this: the motor runs, turning the alternator pully. the pully turns an electromagnetic motor that transferes mechanical energy into a/c electrical energy (heat losses), then the a/c is rectified into d/c (more heat losses), then the d/c is used to power the car and charge the battery. you couldnt possibly create enough energy (IMO!!!) to add any power to a car. you would actually reduce power by adding further reductions due to heat loss in the system. where is the extra energy going to come from? a higher powered alternator...which will place more strain on the motor, wich will require more energy from the electric turbo, which will require more power from the alternator, etc...
correct me if im wrong, but the simple physics involved dont add up.

You just explained how an alternator works. At this point, you are taking away energy (mechanical). But all cars do this, considering you are just saying a car with an alternator is taking away power.

i was trying to set a precident for my argument: that by transforming energy through several steps you make the whole system less efficient. i was trying to point out that electrical systems are already not 100% efficient, and theres no way to take advantage of "wasted power" like you do w/ a super or turbocharger, combined with the fact that another inverter and a fan would be wasting electrical energy and putting more of a strain on the engine. i should have been more clear though, thanks for pointing that out though.

i believe this was included somwhere in the debate of how to control the boost, but basically all it says is that yet another step would be required to transfer the energy into the fan.
let me again point out that im not familiar with the method used in this new idea, but it seems to me as if theres no way ANY purly electric supercharger would work.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related. Step 1: Put down everything in your hands. Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it. Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you. I SAW ONE OF THESE TYPE THINGS REVIEWED ON SOMEONES WEBSITE, I CANT REMEMBER THE ADRESS, BUT IT WAS TESTED TO BE A GIMMICK, ALONG WITH THE VENOM 400 CCM.

DUH! i know there has been one made. i read the whole topic on asog. but i'm just telling someone else to make one. as in get the parts list, and put up pics. cuz this guy isn't. plus. i like to listen to local members anyhow.
