#53891, "drilling oil pan 4 drain line-drilling hole at manifold for egt probe" Aug-12-03 07:00 AM by jsupetran
my dad has one of those electric drills that i;ve seem him use to drill holes through wood. its a craftsman-type drill, it has a spiral like groove on the sides. will this work?
if not, what can i use; what brand; where can i borrow this (store-wise)?
also, do you all think those craftsman drill will work for drilling through the turbo manifold (if not then recommendations) and should i drill at a right angle (90* degrees) or slightly diagonnal angle)

You'll need a small hole saw (can't remember the size - 1"?) for the oil pan hole, and any bit that's spec'd for drilling metal should be fine for the manifold. Try and make it as straight as possible.
