Well guys, with all your help I finally turned the key over on my car for the first time in 9 months. Bad news.....she won't idle. Now, first off, the things that I changed since last year are I am now using the SFMU and 440 injectors. Also, I don't have my fuel pressure gauge in right now because I am waiting on a fitting....so I am tuning blind, but what the hell, I just wanted to see if she'd run. Well, the problem is either I am running SUPER RICH or I am on 2-3 cylinders. I have to floor the gas pedal to get it to start, and keep it at least 5% throttle to run or it stalls.....and when it runs, it sounds all choppy and shitty.....like it's on 3 cylinders. So I pulled mu plugs and they were all black. I cleaned them and nothing changed. I've moved the idle adjustment screw all the way in and out on the SFMU and nothing seems to change it. Timing is OK.....I don't know what it could be! The shouldn't run that shitty with those injectors should it? I even +/- my SAFC all the way each way and did not seem to change anything. The car is spewing black smoke at idle(well not really idle since it won't idle by itself). I have the 2.72" disk in the SFMU with the long spring. I am pretty sure I put it together right.....ring/disk/blue rubber thingy/metal cap/spring/metal cap/top. Well, any ideas would be appreciated......I just want to drive my car again. Hopefully, my fuel pressure fitting will be here by the end of the week so I can get that gauge in there. Sorry for the long post, but this shit is driving me crazy!

Well, I got an update this morning. I got the car to start and idle on it's own. I -50% my AFC on low throttle accross the rev range and now it's running by itself. It idles a bit choppy(almost like it has a cam) but revs up nice and smooth and doesn't spit black smoke anymore. But....now my car won't go anywhere. I let the clutch out, and when it starts to grab, it makes a wierd "rubbing" noise. The car never goes under load, but the trans is in gear. Won't go forward or back, makes the same noise either way, and no load on the engine. The throw-out bearing is making some noise too. I'm not sure, do you think it could be an axle not it all the way? We just put new ones in a couple days ago, and am pretty sure they are in.....but maybe one just needs to go in a hair more? Well, let me know what you guys think......at least she's runnin'! Now I want to drive it!

your car is/was running too rich...(I don't tune on a SAFC but -50% seems a little much) as for the trans.. this may seem too obvious (dumb) but does the clutch pedal feel as if it is really mushy and releases primarily high up when trying to engage? Try bleeding one more time. otherwise it may make sense to go underneath and press the axle collars one more time.
