#53588, "turbo kit with stock GST pump"

I have a NER stage 1 kit, Vortech 12-1 FMU, and stock injectors. Can I boost 5 psi safely with a stock GST intank pump only?

Built 420a
NER turbo kit T3/T04s ball bearing
AFX UDP
Crane 0014 cams

I think the GST pump only flows 190lph, I dont think thats enough for our cars.

This is a BAD IDEA. Why do you think they upgrade their pumps? because they don't flow well at higher pressures. for 5psi on stock injectors, you're running nearly 100psi of fuel pressure. A GST pump can't do that; you might as well leave your stocker in and go ahead and ruin your motor.

Are you sure about the 100 psi at just 5 psi of boost? Elaborate on this. Can I use a Walbro 255 LPH (not hi-psi) pump?

Base fuel pressure of around 40psi, 12:1 riser. 40 + 12 + 12 + 12 + 12 + 12 = 100psi.

Even the 225LPH Walbros can be a bit small at those fuel pressures. That is why HRC supplies a big inline pump...

And yes, when i was stock motor and stock injector, i'd see over 100psi of fuel pressure at 5-6psi of boost. My gauge only went to 100psi, but the needle would move beyond that when i stepped up to 8-9psi and a big inline to augment my Walbro.
