When I was at the DSM shootout, I noticed that all the guys with the S-FMU got rid of their cruise control. Do I have to do this, or could I put the S-FMU someplace else? I like the idea of having cruise control, since I will probabaly be going to school somewhere in the south, like S. Carolina, or Florida, and I will be taking my car with me.
If there's no place else to put it, how do I get rid of it? TIA.

i kept my cruise. it was a PITA but i ended up mounting the sfmu sideways right under the cruise servo. the only annoying thing is that you have to unbolt the cruise everytime you need to adjust the sfmu. however, once tuned correctly you shouldn't need to adjust it anymore.

Yeah i used to have the cruise on there with the SFMU, but i just found it a PITA everytime i went to adjust it and play around with it I dont use cruise that much anyway, and it freed up quite a bit of room for the SFMU. Although on the way back from the Shootout, that non stop 4 hour drive had my foot/leg cramping up haha..i was missing cruise then..

yeah, thats what i'm worried about. If I go to the University of Miami, I'm going to have like a 20 hour drive, and I don't think I could do it without cruise control. I pretty much have to keep it, since I WILL be going somewhere south. Could I maybe just hood up the cruise control before I made long drives? Or maybe there's a better place to put it?

dude I have a write up in the main page on how to set up your fuel system.I have my sfmu installed where my winshield washer reservoir was. that thing is huge and not really a necessity.

alright, i'll check it out. maybe I could rig up a new washer resivoir, or get a smaller one off another car or something. not as important as cruise control, but still nice to have.

i used whodatt's setup using his sfmu install. i got rid of the windshield washer resevoir cause i always use the cruise. that frees up soo much room, and with the reservoir outof the way, you can reach down to the shift boot and making the wires pass through the firewall is a lot easier!

Just use a reservoir and pumps from a 2G turbo car. It sits in the back under the spare tyre. There are a few nuts that hold it to some studs that are already in place. Just run a signal wire from the pump harness up front to the pump in the back, using the 2G-T pump harness. The bigger pump goes to the back, and the smaller pump to the front. Use the stock rear washer fluid filler, and use the 2G-T tube that goes down towards the tank. It sits behind the plastic panels in the hatch. -=B-=

If you decide to remove your CC I believe you can just get a throttle cable from satan for a car without CC. It would connect directly to the throttle body and you can remove the cc servo.
