Okay I installed my TT and from reading this site & my Chilton manual I saw that the ECU is a black box behind the console. I removed both side panels and I see no black box under there. There's like 4 harnesses in a row but they look like it's for the stereo, on 1 there was a white/black wire but it was a speaker wire, another one had 2 white/black wires so I knew that wasn't it. So where TF is this thing?

hey bro,
your looking for the 4g63 ECU behinde the console. Are's for the, 420A, is in the engine compartment right in front of the battery. YOu can't miss it, it's the thing with all the wires hanging out of it:thumbsup

You have a stage 2 kit, and don't know where your ecu is? Good luck; you'll likely be buying engine parts soon.
Look again at your Chiltons. The diagram that show the ecu in the console is most likely marked for GS-T and GSX models. Your GS has the ecu under the hood, right in front of the battery.

The ECU is in the console on the 4g63 cars. For our cars, the ECU is in the engine bay. it's the silver/black rectangular thing with heat sinks that's mounted just in front of the driver's wheel well.

d'oh, I guess I can't read too well. oh and I bought my car with it installed (did compression test & everything before I purchased), and I've had no problems with my car for about a year. Have been watching my EGT's & fuel pressure the entire time. Just never had to install anything that dealt with the ECU and I could have swore on this site I thought I saw someone say it was behind the console...sorry.
Anyways thanks for the help
