#53350, "a few questions before my kit arrives...."

I bought a kit similiar to the HRC stage 2 kit. And now I need to know where the best place is to get the Missing Link, some kind of FRP or FMU (what do I need by the way?) and anything else. The kit includes 550cc injectors, t3/t4 turbo, internal wastegate, fmic, bov, all piping, oil line inlet/outlet, and boost, air/fuel gauges. What kind of fuel system should i get and where can I get it? Thanks guys...oh also, I need a manifold to work with this turbo. Anybody have one for a garrett t3? Let me know...

Hit up Motofool for a manifold. You should get the Vortech SFMU, either from them directly, or from Summit, around 280-290 bucks. The missing link can be bought at www.group5motorsports.com Click under "synapse engineering", and you will find the Missing link. You didnt mention a fuel pump, but at least get the Walboro intake fuel pump, the 255 LPH. If you use the 550cc injects, you will need a SAFC too..not sure if it can control those injects or not...never used them before..someone else can prob help you there..You cant run 550cc's with just a fuel pressure regualator..

Ok, thanks for the quick response. As for the Vortech SFMU, do you have the part # I need to get or is there a universal one? I do have a SAFC II already to tune this whole setup. I think I'll order the missing link and manifold awhile. What about the cartech FPR? Is that worth looking into?

Most guys call it the Craptech FPR if that answers your question....get the Vortech SFMU. And there is no part number, it's a unniversal part.

I may be a dumbass, but I don't think you can use 550cc injectors...just too high.

So it is a kit similar to a HRC Stage II, but it does not have a manifold or fpr? 550 injectors? T3/T4 with an internal wastegate? Internal? Are you sure you have all the correct parts you actually need to make this work? Sounds like bunch of parts thrown together more than a kit to me.

The guy I bought it from had it on his 97 Eclipse RS and said he had no problems with it. Is there a serious problem with these parts put together? Does anybody think it wouldn't be worth it to try to make this work? Also, what's wrong with the internal wastegate? And is there going to be a problem using 550cc injectors? I will get a Vortech SFMU and I have a SAFC II already. Any help please, thanks

There is nothing wrong with your "kit", she's just a home brewed one. I'm sure your internal wastegate is fine, but those 550cc injectors are too big. I would step down to some 415-450cc injectors. Those should be good for 15-18psi depending on fuel octane and tuning.....

Even so, it has a part number. I beleive it's 6X100-001, if not please correct me. emoji

I'd recommend some good gauges, if the supplied ones are junk. Autometer are good. Some type of boost controller as well is nice.

What kind of 415 or 450 injectors do I need to get? Does anybody use the stock turbo injectors? If not what kind did you use? Also, what type of boost controller and where can I buy it? Thanks again...

You cannot use the stock turbo injectors, too bad because they are a great size. Anyways, I personally have RC engineering 440cc injectors. I paid $250 for them slightly used. As far as boost controllers go.....too many to chose. If you want to save some cash, get a manual.....but if you have an extra $300 or so lying around, get a Greddy profec-B electronic boost controller. Even still, thats just my personal opinion.

Ok, what about the Walboro 255lph fuel pump. Is there a specific one I need to get? Or can the one for the turbo models fit? Also, did anybody look into the Weapon R fuel pressure regulator? Here it is...
