i ran 6 psi non-intercooled from august 2002 to november 2002. i live in new england and we have pretty humid/hot summers. i never really had an issue. in november i increaced the boost to 10 psi with a 1G SMIC and blew piston ring landings the following day. i must have done something wrong...
seems to me that low boost with stock internals is the way to go. stick with low boost unless you know how to really tune the thing with a datalogger, EGT gauge, and digital A/F gauge. (i didn't) it's much safer.

Thanx for the help I thought so, but I wanted to make sure and be safe. I'll be getting the stage 1 HRC soon and I'll have to save for stage 2, but till then...

yea stage 1 is totally fine.... i had it on my car for a long time (4-5 months) just make sure u have good coolant, possibly some watter wetter and some REALLY dank oil (mobil 1 ) my best personal opinion is stage 1 at 5psi intercooled until you break it in, then put the actuator on for 9-10 pounds.
