Before i get bitched at, i have done as much research as possible.... i have been on this site and dsmtalk.com for the past 3 weeks.... ive learned alot more but im still missing links... First of all i have a 420A that im looking to turbo to around 5psi. Im a cheap bastard but i have mechanical skills and a pretty nice machine shop.... i have a stock manifold from a blown engine in my basement.... my plan was to make an adapter plate from the manifold to the turbo so i could mount the turbo and not have to buy a custom manifold.... second i was going to make custom i/c pipping from jc whittney.... i also have a spare oil pan to tap the oil return line and a welder if i need it..... now my questions are, 1.) what car could i get a turbo that would suffice me 5psi, would the 1g turbo work 2.) what wastegate (if any), from what car would be 5psi, is there any cars that come with a turbo with an internal 5psi wastegate 3.) where do you recommend tapping the oil line to the turbo 4.) do i need a fmu?, if so what do you reccomend 5.) do i need to alter the MAP sensor?, Do i need a bigger fuel pump or will the FMU handle it. Please let me know if i am missing anything and i dont need the remarks telling me to use the search button because i use it all the time. If it helps at all my current mods are AEM CAI, AEM Tru-time cam gears, MSD DIS ignition, 60mm Jeep throttle body, Greddy exhaust, AFX underdrive pulley, Accel 8mm wires, Denso Iridium plugs. Thanks in advance.
