I have a question that I just can't understand about 1\4 mile times that everyone has posted. Most of the people on here say that they have the HRC Stage II and say they run high 14's or low 15's. The stock gsx\t which are 210hp run very low 15's stock but a gs\rs with the stage II kit has about 250-275 hp @9psi (tuned right) and is about 400 pound lighter than the gsx but everyone says that they run high 14's\low 15's so something doesn't make sense here.

210 HP ???? 250-275@ 9psi
400 pounds heavier ???? 400 pounds lighter
Low 15's ???? 14.7-15.6

i agree... i havent been able to run mine yet so i dont know what to compare to, but based on some responses, i thought they would be quicker too.

anyone ever thought of a drive-thru parts store? that would be cool!

i ran a 14.9 at 5-6 psi in 98 degree heat. i spun my tires like crazy and i have a hesitation problem i think is fuel. so i f i can get it to hook off the line and fix that hestation id probably drop somewhere around 14.5-14.7.

all those times as you mentioned are possible, but you have to remember, times like that often depends on driver, weather, many things. stage 2 has been done with high 13's to high 12's. so it just all depends.

a GSX is AWD. dont forget that...thats a BIG advantage in a drag race. where we cut 2.2 60' times on street tires, its no problem for them to knock out a 1.6-1.7 60' on street tires. compare the MPH. i ran a 9.17 back in the day(in the 1/8th) at the exact same MPH that a GSX did, that ran a 8.4. every tenth quicker your 60' time is, generally will knock of .2 on your overall ET.

heh yeah, i see that a lot. one of the main reasons i decided to go custom, as opposed to getting an HRC kit was that i see a lot of people running high 14's with the stage II, and i'm not about to drop two thousand and some odd dollars to pay for instructions and parts when i could just buy the parts independantly and do it myself. I also like the "i did it my damn self" factor involved. a lot of guys around here just drop their cars off at a shop and pay the guys lots of money then get their cars back and think they're hot shit.
