Up arround 14-15 psi I get a stutter from my car and it feels like I loose power. The blinking a/f reads rich so I dont think IM too lean. What else could it be? Maybe Im too rich? TIA

from what i hear, if you're running insanely rich you will get fuel cut. i'm talking like 1.02+ volts on the oxygen sensor.
detonation sounds a little like popcorn. it's not fun.
you could also be misfiring... i ran into your problem a few months ago and it took me a while to figure out that my spark plugs weren't gapped correctly, which explained why i couldn't really go over 8-10 psi without having hesitation/misfiring. make sure your plugs are gapped around 30-35 mills (.030-.035")
if the problem continues, get a new coilpack and spark plug wires. i ended up doing this, i got the "screamin' demon" coilpack from Howell along with the Crane 8.5mm wires. no power improvement from any of that, but i could tell that the car was running and idling smoother.

it's a lot louder than popcorn...... it's loud...... everyone in the stands heard me det. when i was in forth.... i was running way too lean up top.... found out i had a bad fuel pump..relaced it and now have no problems

It's been described to me as sounding like that game at the carnival where everyone is shooting beebee guns at targets all at the same time. And supposedly it feels like you just ran head on into a brick wall for a split second.

Actually, detonation on our motors is hard to feel at all. It is def a very audible noise, most describe it as taking some ball bearings and shaking them up in a pop can..its a metalic rattling sound. I have heard it too, and i could not really feel it all all..you will def hear it though, maybe not if your stereo is blasting If you car is hesitating, bucking, or whatever, then thats usually a missfiring problem..
