hey what octane gas is everyone running the HRC site recommends 93 octane, but here in socal the highest i can get regularly is 92 anyone know if this 1 octane rating really makes a difference?
It wont make a difference at all. They were pretty much quoting the type of octane we have here in the east. We have 93 octane here in Maryland. I beleive Cali and some other states out west use 92 as their highest.

...but at 1 point difference you would have to be at the end of your tuning to really notice. Here in cali CARB regulates heavily so the most they allow is 92. - GET THIS - 50% of all the cars in America are 1st registered in Cali. That was a stat from a couple years ago so that would also help explain our strict emissions.
