It's been awhile since the rebuild (8.8:1 JE pistons, Crower rods,etc)and I haven't rechecked the compression numbers since the 1000 mile test. Those results were in the 160 range. Last night, after driving 40 or so miles and letting the engine cool down for approx. 5 minutes I pulled the plugs and checked the comp. 190-195 is what the guage read. Thinking I misread the guage, I performed the test again-with the same results. Do these pistons/rings expand that much? Thanks again to all of you who have helped me in the past-one day I hope to return the favors!
