Well, I finally gave into the temptation. I bought a spare block off of a guy on Ebay for $65 dollars. I will probably pick it up this Saturday and begin working on it. For $65 bucks, how could you go wrong? It has no machine work, no stripped bolts, no cracks, and no broken bolts. I also don't have to pay shipping on a 160lb engine block.
I need to do some research on what type of pistons (brand, compression), rods, and rings I will buy. I will also be upgrading the clutch and some other small items (underdrive pulley, injectors, etc). I also need to find a machine shop to do the boring but since I live 20 minutes from Englishtown Raceway Park, NJ there has to be some decent machine shops.
Can someone recommend good engine internals, where they were purchased, and for how much? I've been looking at Race Engineering for parts (www.raceeng.com) as they have a kit available for the 420a. Just trying to gather some suggestions.

I got my stuff from Race Engineering. Check prices between them, Howell, and HRC. Or do some research and find who has the best prices for each part you want.
