A boost controller bleeds off excess pressure to "fool" the wastegate into staying closed longer. So, if you wanna boost 20psi and the wastegate is set to open at 15psi, you use the boost controller to bleed off the extra 5psi. Make sense?

Ditto. Just look into boost controllers. You could get an MBC (manual boost controller) for about $50-60. Dejon Tools makes a real good MBC. If you have the $$ to burn, then electronic boost controllers, such as, the Greddy Profec A or B are really good.

yeah. i had the $90 manual boost controller from Mach V and it was nice. the only thing i didn't like about it was the guesswork with just a knob and no adjustability from the driver's seat... so i got a Blitz EVC Spec-S off of ebay. i really like it a lot, but it was kinda expensive.
