Cant help but notice ever since I put the turbo on I'm burning MUCH less oil (not that I'm complaining). Only thing I can think of is the additional cylinder pressure is pushing the rings (TS) harder into the cylinder wall. This a normal phenomenon?

Probably blow by. The compressed air is forcing the oil away from your combustion chamber at the expense of increase crankcase pressure. You might notice oil leaks developing along your valve cover, like i did.
