Today I took off my test pipe to have a larger diameter one made, well I started the car and I will be driving it like this for a day or two and it is VERY loud, I have a 2.5" custom down pipe and that is it!!
Should this make more power? Or hurt power?
has anyone tested this for sure??
I can't realy tell if it is faster or about the same but I will be driving it more tomorrow

omg...thats awsome...it will make more powa mang....no exhaust is always better than having one...you make power off all that flow...there are a few guys around, me soon to be one, that are running qtec exhaust cut outs...you flip a toggle switch and your exhaust bypasses the cat right out of the dp...good hp gainer there...spool faster and makes a lot more power..you basically hook up a Y pipe that some muscle guys put right off of their headers, normally a little plate is there to make sure the exhaust goes out of the muffler..but uncap that beast and you have one loud ass roudy car....could you imagine how loud my car is running 19psi, w/ an external dump and a cutout...wow...cover your ears

Spool is WAY quicker. I think it sounds like a tractor at idle but cool as hell in the rpms.

i'll soon be running 3inch pipe out the side of my passenger side bumpe once my turbo gets here.
i'll try and get some sound clips of it so u guys can hear what it sounds like

I drove the car to work today with about 18-19 psi, and man is it loud, especially once the turbo is spooled and making 19 psi it just screems.
At idle it does kind of sound like a tractor.
I think I can somewhat tell a difference in the spool, I haven't really got it on the highway to to see what top end is like.
where can you get one of those cutouts???
or is some custom stuff?

i got a 3" going all the way back after my star downpipe with one resonator, it sounds kinda loud at idle, i got pulled over by a state trooper, and he told me it's kinda loud as well, but it's not too bad. i didn't get a tix, but i'm afraid that i might one day. but anyway, you guys think putting a 3" resonator right where the cat used to be and one just before that bend by the crossmember might quiet it down a bit? i love the sound while i'm driving but at idle it's kinda annoying.
