alright im having problems with my nitrous . i can't figure it out.
heres what it does . i start off and mash the throttle and it engauges the car will take off then it boggs and sputters then surges. does this the whole time . its a direct port kit with 20n/14f jets . nitrous pressure was 900. i have a window switch at 3000 on 6300 off. at trans with shift kit, final drive , cooler .
afx pulley. ngk plugs gapped at 40. what could be the problem too much fuel pressure ?

when you hit it does it feel slower than when you dont? cuz if so there's too much fuel, that happened to me when i first used my nitrous and i had to decrease the fuel jet size

I don't really know anything about nitrous but isn't that too big of a gap on your plugs?

yeah plug gap is a lil too big should be like 30- 35. but last time i had them at 35 i melted a strap . fuel jet is as small as you can get . only way i can think of is to get a n adjustable fuel pressure reg and the is in the works now.im also wondering if with a direct port kit if it raises manifold pressure?

Ok, you can get an adjustable fpr, but that'll adjust the fuel pressure for the entire fuel system - not just the nitrous fuel system. In order to get different fuel pressures for injectors and fuel solenoids you have to create 2 distinct fuel systems - each with their own pump/lines/fpr. Reason I mention this is cause lowering the fuel pressure may make the car run like crap when your not on the button.

I would try making some fuel jets that are appropriately sized for the fuel pressures you normally run at. http://www.dynopower.freeserve.co.uk/nitrous_oxide/

Do you get any back fire at all comin out your exhuast? I would say try reducing your fuel jets to either a 12 or 13 in each. Mine backfired and bogged before and I just droped the fuel jet by 2 and it took care of it.

Yeah, maybe I misunderstood what you are doin. Yeah an adjustable fpr will let you lower the fuel pressure for your injectors.

I am having the same problem that you are. I am running 30n/24fuel. I dropped mine all the way down to a 14 on the fuel. It still didn't take care of the problem. I also put an adjustable FPR and dropped it to 43 psi but i put the 24's back in when it installed the FPR. That still didn't work. Are you running the single fogger kit or the one with 4 foggers?

i talked to a tech guy one time he said to run like 35-40 pounds of fp . im wondering if with the direct port if its raising the manifold pressure , but wouldn't that give us fuel cut . but it would advance the timing right or does the map sensor retard it when it sees + pressure (i tried running mine at different timing settings on the msd ign ) . how did you run the fpr did you tee into the system before the stock reg , did you have to run a return.
let me know what you try we should be able to figure this out.

and to the guy running the 85 shot can't get a jet size under a 14

The nitrous is not going to raise the mani pressure. I eliminated my stock FPR and I am running the pressure on the rail the same as what is going to the n2o kit. I got mine to run with 30n/18f but it still ran very rich and had just a little miss, but that was before I got the new FPR. I am going to take it to the dyno next Friday and see if I can't figure it out. Are you running a progressive controller? And how much time are you retarding on what octane?
