Ok, so it's looking pretty good for me getting my hands on 420avengers rebuilt bottom end. Some of you might have seen that in the for sale forum. It's pretty much complete and broken in
My question now becomes - if I get the bottom end on there, what head work *needs* to be done to run a turbo setup reliably over the long haul - if any? I DONT want to do cams or anything like that and get involved in timing/emission issues. I'm thinking maybe just a multi-layered steel headgasket and some port and polishing??

You really dont *need* to do anything at all. A basic valve job, head cleaning, and new valve stem oil seals, and resurfacing the head, will be a good thing to do while its off, esp if you have high miles on the head. Then use the new OEM MLS headgasket, and new head bolts, and you will be just fine. If money permits, opt for some ARP head studs Our stock head and valvetrain is very, very good stock, and flows excellent.

420avenger is giving me the ARP headstuds and I only have 38,000 miles on my engine. I just had the Headgasket done under warrantly 2,000 miles ago, but .... they didn't put the MLS on - just the old OEM gasket. So I'm not sure what to do there.

George - sounds goot to me man - sold! I just put a brand new exhaust manifold gasket on when I did the turbo so I probably wouldn't be looking to change it anyway.
This whole thing is coming together a little bit too good .... I'll be running 15psi by December!
