I am starting to loose it. The stupid Eic keeps freezing the software once it starts up. It will not let me program it or anything. I tried my neighbors laptop and it has the same problem. I also checked my connections several time sot make sure they are correct. I really dont know what to do. Please some one help. thanks Paul

Did the software come on a CD, or do you have to download it? Try uninstalling the software, and re installing it. If that doenst work, get another copy of the software. I believe there is a regisration code you have to have too for it to work.

How about your serial port settings. Maybe they're set wrong? I don't have mine installed yet so I couldn't tell you how to config the serial port. I'm not sure if that's the problem though - cause you said in another post that it looks like it's actually coming up with numbers at some point - right? Have you talked to Javad(the 034 guy) about this problem? Hopefully it's not a problem with the unit but if it is then he should be able to tell for sure.

Yes the serial port is correct. The software extracts the information from the unit. However as soon as it is done extracting it freezes because the busy signal light keeps flashing, than eventually locks up my comp. I bought this unit through motofool. Maybe it was a mistake. I should have went directly to the company.
