Man Oh Man! :o I got a turbo oil dump tube leak. And tonight she's gone wild. Heavy leaking but the tube still in place. It's coming from up top of the pipe. I guess the nozzle on the turbo is like 2inches right? It only has one clamp, but for some reason my homemade catch can is also quirting more. . It's falling all over the downpipe and you know what that means. Burnt oil. I went running tonight and tons of cars where like "DUDE you car's is smoking!" Also from the tube it shoots some oil on to the valve cover. And the way I have my catch can setup oil all over my air filter, radiator fan and even some on my bov! Anyone else have this happen to? I wonder if I need the whole new tube and oil pan plug or if another clamp will make it stop. Any comments welcomed. Thanx

>Check your compression.
I'm curious what makes you think I may have a problem with my motor? The fact that more oil is going to my catch can? I have just recently started racing hard after the new mods. Any imput appreciated. Thanx

O.k after further diagnosing, there is no catch can leak. The leak from the turbo dump tube is somehow also shooting forward and hitting the fan which is splatering oil all over the bov, battery, air filter, and anything else in it's way. But now my oil pressure is very low. WOT I can bearly hit 50psi and at idle it can reach as low as 5psi. As I am driving it's fluctuating from 20-45psi. Could this be cause of the loss of all that oil? I am going to put 1/2 quart and see if that helps? I need to get this fixed. My cabin stinks and the leaks on the downpipe keep smoking bad!

You're just gonna have to make sure that fitting on the bottom of the turbo is secure. I forgot to tighten mine and it litaraly dumbed oil all down the line and caking my oilpan.

I'm not clear on where your problem is at. You said it's leaking from the top, but at the "top" there's just a hose clamp that attaches it to the turbo housing - maybe a 1/2" dia at best. It sounds like your talking about at the oil pan, but that's the "bottom" of the dump tube in my mind. And if it's leaking down at the oil pan how is spraying oil all over your engine bay. Clarify, and I'll try to help your some more. Good luck dude.

But when I was refering to the actual top of the dump tube. That hose slips on to the turbo fitting and is held by a clamp. So it wasn't a leak in the hose but from the top part, I don't know exactly how it was hitting the fan. But it could have been a splatter from the loose fitting or the valve cover break hose with a small oil filter I was using as a catch can. Maybe this doesn't help much clear things up. But I used three clamps and it still wasn't stopping. I wonder what that hose cost? I'd like one like the top which is stainless braided hose but I'm sure it would be some $$ to fabricate with the fitting and angle. Oh well money has to be used for other things now. I'll take care of it as time progesses.. Thanx
