#51061, "When looking at coolant temps, how hot it too hot?"
I have been having a little overheating when the A/C is on and it's a hot day. I don't see any signs of a HG blow, and it seems to relate directly to EGT's. I do not have a heat shield on the car though, so I think that is part of the problem. Well anyways my datalogger was reading temps up in the 230's last night with the air on. So I guess my question is this, what is the danger zone in coolant temps. P.S. I have a 160 degree thermo, I use water wetter, and the water pump is brand new as well. I am also taking any ideas as to what might be wrong as well.

That seem a little too hot. Mine is between 180-210, as it has been very hot here in the North East. But 230 seems a little too hot. I really don't know what to tell you. Maybe you might want to invest in a more powerful fan. I run a slim on after the turbo install cause the stock wouldn't fit, and I have no complaints.
