#50743, "? on Howell kit"

How much boost and N2o can the howell bottem end handle? Is there any other kit that is stronger to handle even more.

Gary at Howell Automotive told me that the Eagle rods etc could handle up to 500 crank hp. I think that it should be able to handle more, but then again I am not an engine builder.

Anyway I hope this at least gives you some sort of figure to play around with.

i think 30 psi and a 100 shot of N2O will put you a tad bit over 500 BHP with all other possible mods done (like sheetmetal intake manifold, at least a 3" turbo back, lightened flywheel, etc...), but i don't see why the eagle rods wouldn't be able to deal with more than 500 BHP. seems like too round of a number to be a legit "limit".
