How much fuel pressure does a walbro pump put out? I don’t have a fuel pressure gauge, and I need to know. It is the one that Howell sells.
Thanks
Jesse

look at it it's either 190lph or 255lph.......your pressure will still be upthere... it's the cap. of the fuel pump for supply that you want.... if it can't supply the fuel then you will have problems... that is why you can't just use the stock pump by its self you need the inline to supply more fuel at the same pressure....or put the walbro intank to do the same

Your fuel pressure regulator determines your fuel pressure. And fuel pressure determines fuel pump flow. Here is the pressure/flow graph:

Pink is 190 lph; blue is 255 lph; red is 255 lph high pressure.

Sup Icedout.
I have a question for you (sorry for stealing the thread)

I will be installing my fuel system soon.
I just want to make sure about this.

What I got:
1) 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS (early fuel system)
2) Walbro 255 fuel pump
3) Vortech SFMU
4) New Stock fuel filter

What I have to do/install:
1) remove the battery, remove the rear seats, etc.
2) TAKE OUT the stock fuel pump
3) put in the new walbro 255 fuel pump
4) TAKE OUT the stock FMU
5) Replace the new fuel filter
5) put in the SFMU
SFMU:
1) vaccum line to intake
2) the other two goes to the stock FMU's two hose.

AM I CORRECT on the things and steps I have to do listed above??
QUESTION:
1) Do I trash the stock fuel pump?
2) Do I trash the stock FMU?
3) THIS IS STUPID: WHERE IS THE STOCK FMU???

As I always say! You guys are the man! Thanks guys!!!
Gil:thumbsup

Yes, unless you're going to run a return line. No need to remove battery (just disconnect).

>QUESTION:

Yes

>2) Do I trash the stock FMU?

Yes

>3) THIS IS STUPID: WHERE IS THE STOCK FMU???

Sorry, don't know for '95. Use search. It's been posted many times before.

The stock FMU is on your fuel rail on the passanger side.

Here is the writeup for the fuel pump install: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/pump-WB-2GFWD.html .

BTW how did your girls car turn out?

It's going to well man.
I got the whole engine ... head and block all assembled sitting in my kitchen right now.
Still waiting for the fuel pump to ship to me.
I really hope it will get here by tomororw.. otherwise I will be piss.

Well, other then put the timing belt on, check the timing, then take off the hold, lift the whole engine in, connect the gear (4 bolts) and the tranny, then the engine mount, put back the oil pan... and connect all the hose and wire..and I am done with the rebuild!!!

Hopefully, I can get it all done this weekend!!!
I took over 100+ pictures... I will do MORE for EACH individual parts later... so I will post them all to my server..and list it here later this weekend...

SEe ya!!!
Gil:thumbsup

Well, it's not done yet... until I get the engine running for 24 hours and still good.. then I consider myself as COMPLETED! =) but sadly, the oil pump is still not here yet.. it's already 10AM on Saturday.

If it's not here, then I can't complete the rebuild this weekend...... wish me luck emoji
