I read where you sent Nitrous RS1997 an e-mail describing fuel setup with a s-fmu, I was wondering if you could do the same for me. I'm having trouble with the car starting really rough, and it's not running quite right. I have 30lb injectors, 2.72 disk, hard spring, idle set at 24lbs, static set at 34lbs, and getting 54lbs @ 5lbs of boost. I also have the ristrictor in the signal hose running to the s-fmu that came with it. I don't have the inline fuel pump anymore, only a walbro 255lph hp. I also noticed that the fuel rail dosn't maintain pressure after shutting the car off. could the walbro be losing prime? Thanks for any help. augie28@hotmail.com

Im having almost the exact same problem as you. i dont get any FP on my gauge when the key is in the "on" position either, but i think my gauge is shitty. cause it doesnt read anything with the car running either. does yours stumble when you first hit the gas? thats what mine is doing.
*edit*: just noticed you were a 95, so hooking up your fuel system will be different than mine or his, or i woulda let you see the email he sent to me.

Yea man, It dosn't start well and it stumbles alot, I was afraid that I didn't get the injectors seated well and it was causing a vacuum leak. So I took the upper intake mani off and cleaned the injector bungs out real well, lubed the "O" rings and reinstalled them. I also changed the plugs, and lowered the idle and static pressures to 22psi and 32psi. It seemed to help the stumbling but the start up problem is still there. I'm wondering if I should relay off the ignition switch so I can run the fuel pump a little longer before start up. Let me know If you figure anything out. Good luck and Thanks

what are your fuel trims at idle?
make sure you tighten all the bolts for the manifold well or you might run into problems.
good luck

stumbling when the engine is cold is fairly common with larger than stock injectors, running very low fuel pressure at idle. I know when my motor is cold, the idle is pretty crappy at times, but after its all warm, it basically like stock. I have noticed a throttle responce decrease also when running that little of fuel pressure. Its just not an intant rev of the motor..has a slight lag time in a way.. Your're fuel pressures seem ok, but best bet it to datalog it and see what you have to work with.

I don't have a datalogger or a/f meter yet, I only used Corbins formulas to check the pressures I read on the forum, then started richer and worked my way down. I ruined some plugs, but it was the best I could do without the right equipment. What are you guys opinions on a/f guages, and the datalogger. Which should I get, or should I get both? Extreme rs, you're right about the idle. When the engine is warm, it starts and idles normal. The power seems a little slugish throughout the rpm range, but it dosn't seem to misfire or lag. It may be because it has really gotten hot here since I installed the new fuel system. As always, Thanks alot for your input

my 40# injectors are set to about 12 psi of fuel at idle. when my engine is cold, the idle is defiately pretty crappy. about 1 in every 5 startups sometimes, i loose vacuum pressure and the RPM's drop and it feels like it's about to die, but then i just blip the throttle a little and everything's happy.
