My brother just let me have his 97 ' Eclipse RS. One of my 1st plans for it is to turbocharge it. I'm curretly saving my money and have about 1.5 yrs. before I start driving so I'd like to know a good turbo kit for the car.
Also it's a auto and I'd like to put a 5 speed in it. How much would it be and how hard would it be to do? If I do the tranny swap should I just get the 4g63 also? I have plenty of time so money won't be a problem.
What's some other stuff I should save my cash for to mod the car up?

well the turbo's known for our cars are the Star turbo and the Hahn racecraft turbo. I would recommend you buy the Hahn, because they have great research and development and back up their turbo's and have more stages. But either one would be a good choice. As for the conversion of the 5 speed..its posted somewhere in the forum, i forgot how much it was.

That means no car payments..
I'm going to be saving money for a purpose now and hopefully with help from guys/gals like you all I'll be as smart as you all are when it comes to DSM's.

if you want to go turbo and 5 speed I would say put the car up for sale just to see what type of offers you get... You never know, some other young kid may have his dad buy it for him and offer a high price. Then if you get a good amount sell and buy a GST or GSX. Thaty way you dont need to deal with the hassles of installation. But you will pay more insurance... you're call but an idea nontheless.
