I bought some 3/8" female flare > 3/8" barb adaptors to use on the SFMU at home depot, and 1/4" female > barb for the fuel rail. 3/8" is supposed to be 6AN, 1/4" is supposed to be 4AN, right? If so, then why does nothing fit, both of the fittings are way too big. Do I have the wrong sizes?

All standard sizes(1/2", 1/4", ect,) are all called NPT(National Pipe Thread) fittings, and AN fittings are totally different, as AN fittings are meant for a flared end. NPT are just normal threaded ends. The SFMU needs a 6AN fitting, with a hose barb on one end(thats what i used). I could be mistaken, but i believe all AN fittings are metric.

So where could you get AN fittings? Preferrably somewhere not online cause I cant really wait for them to arrive, I need my car lol. Would places like Autozone or NAPA have them?

the only retail parts store i have seen that carrys them is checker. one of the checkers here in town has a performance section that carrys autometer, nos, arp, msd and shit like that. but a normal checker won't.

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.
If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good. If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast. If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.

Be careful when buying fittings locally. Alot of places sell SAE flare fittings that look just like AN fittings. They are not interchangeable. You will most likely have to order them.
