finally, my car goes into the shop monday to get the turbo installed. is anyone running on there timing belt after 60000. my cars got 77000 on it and i havent changed it yet and its about to be stage 1 @ 5psi. think i should take it easy until i get it changed. ive been so into getting the turbo put on i skipped some maintenance. i'm just scared somethings gonna happen. anyone have any tips or suggestions for starting up turbo for the first time.

my only suggestion is change the timing belt/pumps. boost is good!

yeah you'd better get you timing belt changed before it breaks and you valves get fuct.

i afraid my fuels not going to work right or something. my fmu is inline of the return line from the stock fpr, the rubber hose going back into the tank. is that right??

yes, that is the correct way to install a non-adjustable fmu. why arent you doing the install yourself? are you going to at least watch, because if something goes wrong with your car later on you arent going to know how to diagnose it if you know nothing about it.

i could do the install with no problem, i just dont have the time or the tools. plus i have the exhaust welded with a custom downpipe. i cant watch ill be at work, the shop is keeping it for a week and im a police officer in the city so ill be dropping by to check on it. there hookin me up, givin me a good deal. thats why there keeping it so long, so they wont charge me as much as it would to get it in and out fast.

Check compression and do you 60k service. DO NOT SKIP THAT. Timing belt, waterpump, tensioner..check your oil seals..oh yeah, all your accessory belts...powersteering mostly. Get your car running in tip top shape.

if cutting off the cat wont throw a cel, i'll cut it off. alabama doesnt have emissions checks. they leave it up to us, hahahahahah!!!!

makes me love living in bama, 3 inch turbo back exhaust is about to go on my 1g once i swap the head and timing belt
