alright im planning to buy a built shortblock wat i want to know is do i need to do anything to the top block are will it be fine to leave it alone stock.

well you dont have to build the head but it def would help. if i was you id spend the extra cash and do it right the first time

You might as well have the head ported and polished while your at it.

You don't have to touch your head, if you want 500 HP. HRC didn't and ran 11's.

It just might make it easier, if you do perform some headwork.
