ive had the cartech on my car for a few weeks now, and just installed the vortech sfmu last night (thanks XtremeRS). Up until yesterday, every time i started the car the fuel pressure was SOOOOO irratic! i mean, the car would start with 65 psi one time, 60, 40, 50, 30!!! different every time, and the needle would be bouncing like crazy! it gets agrivating having to pop the hood and get out a hex key and wrench every time you start the car...
the vortech stays perfectly set, no needle fluctuation at all. it stays exactly where i set it every time. be careful with the check valve though! the threads are reeeeaaaally thin brass, and are prone to break. oops!

yeah, the sfmu is bad-ass. how did you hook it up? I spent about $100 on aeromotive AN fittings. The sfmu has a 6AN fittings, so i got a 90 digree angle to another 6AN with a test port for my fuel pressure gague, then a reducer to a 4AN to a braided steel line to the rail. Where did you mount it? Mine is just siting on top of the cruse control servo and hits the hood. damnit.

well, i dont have cruise, so thats not a problem. its sort of mounted on an angle, where the cruise would be. i *should* make a bracket and mount it straight on, but it works right now. yea, you do need some 6AN to hose barb fittings. i have a 5/16" tee that takes my line to the fuel rail and pressure guage. i think we used 1/4" and 5/16" hose, some of the fittings were tight! but it works great.

mount under the cruise control. Fits tight but just perfect. _________________ Vinnie Lima vinnie.lima@jvllogistics.com AIM: Kiku888 1997 Chrysler Sebring "Silver XTC" I4 420a w/ HRC Stage 2.45 w/ FMIC 14.7@97 mph@6psi Proud member of the ASOG BoOsT JuNkIe Crew
