What kind of bov are you using? If its fluttering that is bad. If needs to possibly be set softer I believe.

if u got that HKS SSQV well tuff, i had that piece of $hit and got rid of it. the HKS is only good for anyone goin 10psi or more. that thing under boost kept makin that flutter sound, and my car was jerkin when it did that. replaced it with the greddy type s.

yea, i had a similar problem. if you lube up the shaft in the bov, it should solve the problem.

turbo xs rfl is good for at least 10psi. If you want to take care of most of that fluttering. T the boost controller off the vacuum line from the intake mani to the bov.

^^ yeah, that fluttering sound is compressor surge because the BOV is too tight to open under low boost. If your BOV is as loose as it can go and you are still getting fluttering, you might have to take the spring out and cut it down a little. I had to do that with my Blitz Supersound BOV.

i've heard of that trick too. for some strange reason, putting the air filter directly on the turbo instead of having that extender tube in there seems to reduce bypass valve flutter.

Ok guys he said he has the TurboXS H rfl.

That noise is surge. Your not opening at low boost because the spring is putting too much force on it to open at low #'s. Pull the spring and cut about 1/2 coil off at a time. Put it back in and drive around to see if it is opening. Obviously it isn’t going to be as loud as the high boost sounds but it SHOULD NOT FLUTTER.

mine flutters lightly under 10psi, above 10psi it's just a big surge of air. Dont make it too sloppy or it will leak

A friend of mine makes that noise, and I personally like it. It only happens at about 1 - 3psi of boost, is it really that bad if it happens?

I was looking forward to that sound...
