#49274, "so i bought a used VORTECH SFMU....."

........ anyway, what did the vortech ship with? two springs and several disc but there wasn't any instructions?

also, for the tubes that connect to the boost gauge and vac lines, there wasn't any? did the vortech come with that and if not, does the hahn kit in the fuel boxes supply the proper "piping" for the boost and vac lines?

anyone have the instructions btw?

Brand new, the SFMU comes with the main unit, 4 disks, and 3 rings, the vacuum restrictor, and the diff spring.

The SFMU does not come with any vac lines at all. You supply that.

Here is their link for the SFMU off of their website. This is the same instructions it normally ships with: http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/pdf/manuals/superfmuim.pdf

alright, sweet.

now i'm trying to figure out how to "put everything" together to run 5 psi. the unit was dissasembled so i don't know how everything is "stacked".

from top to bottom:

cover unit
small disk with middle bump (does the bump face up or down)?
spring?
large thin ring?
disk which to put for 5psi?
middle rings?
diaphram?
bottom unit

also, there is one large thin ring. it seems like the two other thick, smaller rings are both the same size? (am i right or wrong)

i'll try to take a pic tomorrow.

-top silver cover-
-small disc with bump-
-spring-
-other small disc with bump-
-rubber piece-

then in the the bottom blue cover, put the approriate size disc and ring in for your setup. if you use the largest disc, there is no ring for it.

is this the set up for 5 psi and stock injectors?

also, the two small disk with the bump, does it matter which side the bump faces?

Do you NEED to use the restrictor? What does it do? I got mine used too, and it didnt come with one.

it is better to use the restrictor, but you can get away with not using it.

Jezreel, on the to little discs with the nipples (he-he, he said nipples!) that go on the ends of the spring, the nipples face in toward each other, towards the middle of the spring. So sayith Vortech engineering!!!

so nipple disk
spring
nipple disk
diaphram (blue thingy)
largest disk

that's all for 5psi and stock injectors?

also, the vacuum restrictor is the small, silver cylinder thingy? where does it go into?

yeah this is the restictor:

Put this inline from the boost source to the top lid of the SFMU, preferably a few inches from the SFMU inlet fitting
