you got all that done in 4 hours? impressive. i started my HRC stage 1 installation on a saturday afternoon, and didn't finish until the following wednesday night. what should have been a weekend project turned into a 4 day marathon. last august when i did my install it must have been 95 degrees with 100% humidity, at 11:00 at night. i've never been that uncomfortable in my life. combine that with the intense odor of 93 octane because i didn't know what i was doing with the fuel system and gas was going everywhere, and you get some pretty drunken mechanics. HRC didn't send me all of the correct fittings either, so i had to fake it by going to home depot at least half a dozen times to get pipe fittings. oh well. like what's his name said "when a 2gnt gets a turbo it's like an angel getting it's wings". the FMIC looks pimp, too!

hahha...im a little ....rusty.....in that area. emoji emoji

ill update everyone on the progress because justin needs to tend ot a nice cut on his finger and clean up for school. today we finished (hopefully!) gathering all the fittings and hoses, got the vac. system ALMOST done, and ran fuel lines an installed the FPR (well, were ALMOST done w/ it). all thats left is bolting up the DP, drilling the oil pan and running the return oil line, and double checking everything.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

^^^uhhh...sorta, lol.

justin is waiting on the missing link, and we have the FPR almost hooked up (just one more connection). the way we have it now (its a 99), we've run fuel lines under the car instead of a vac. line, as the FPR is mounted in the engine bay. however, we ended up with a LOT more vac. hose than we need, so he (or we) might re-mount the FPR by the tank and simply run one vac line instead of two fuel hoses under the car. theres something about having that much fuel line hanging by zip-ties that tells me it will end up being changed. the fuel pump was also put in today before i arrived, so justin will have to comment on that one. from what i heard, it was a bitch....he had to cut some metal and stuff. i really dont know though.

i don't think anyone has ever mounted the fpr in the back where the stock one is. it probably wouldn't even get an accurate signal w/ the vac signal line being so long. just use aluminum hardline for the fuel return line underneath the car. you only need to run one fuel line(the return line). the feed line is already run under there from the factory and is connected to the fuel rail.

ok, so the feed is on the rail, so would i need to do a "T" connection for the return on the stock FPR return?

hmm, i totally forgot that you're running the fmu and still need to run the stock regulator . people w/ the star kit will have to answer that one. i'm not sure, the instructions say to mount the fpr in the back and run the vac line, like you said originally, but i thought that most people w/ the star kit had their fmu up front. in that case, i guess you would have to run 2 lines, b/c the fmu goes after the stock fpr. anyone w/ the star kit have the answer?
