I have a 96 420a or a 98 420a .The point is I know my engine is not running good right now im running 18s at palmdale with headers, warm air intake, exhaust,power cables, and modified transmission this is not good so Im about to rebuild my engine Im tossin a bottle of oil per week on the car. Car doesnt show much power this is my 2nd 420a engine. I got $3,500 to spend on a stage 1 hrc kit and rebuilding the engine i think thats enough Ive heard that theres a rebuild kit for like 500 bucks or something like that I want to upgrade my engine so I can run more boost if i upgrade turbo kit later on in life. for now im getting stage 1 hrc please help i need a rebuild kit so i can hold some turbo and the hrc stage 1 all for 3,500 can someone help me find the stuff I need? I'm getting the labor cheap but for the installation of the turbo kit I dont know and dont know where to go. I live in Los Angeles 213 area code.

If you could find a rebuild kit for 500$ id take one too! I think the best deal would be to get your block done at VT Engines. Its actually cheaper then many other places. Check them out.

with 4psi and an exhaust leak i ran 17.8

You could check your compression. But since your going to rebuild anyways, nevermind. haha

Damn! I dropped $2500 to have mine rebuilt with JE pistons and Eagle rods plus a CAI in prep for a turbo... I want to run 15psi at least...

It would be best to have the internals replaced at the same time as the rebuilt to save loot if you are just going to end up doing it later...

ya I'll let you guys know my nephew has lots of hook ups ill hook you all up he can get nos kit for only 100 bucks thats a hook up but i want turbo so hes finding out all this info for me right now i should know soon but damn looks like i might only be able to afford star kit screw it ill try to get hrc. im rebuilding everything in the engine cause the current problem over the car is low compression, bottle of oil a week. so i want to make sure it makes a comeback i might have to take out 4 grand from bank to do this but hey me whoopin the socal dsm shit talker guys is worth it. as far as rebuilding goes... so cal 2gnt has a great group of guys that are willing to help. more and more rebuilt 420As w/ boost around here lately... talk to dan, james, and kaiser... they are always willing to help out a fellow 2gnter... we really need to get another meet going soon... get a big show up this time.
