well no one can answer that man, even if someone had an identical car, with everything yours had and a comparable driver it would be off. Tolerance differences while manufacturing...who knows maybe the drivers mood, can all ammount to advantages and disadvantages.

but, if you want someone to just yell out something,... give more details. Tranny, any head work? what kit? turbo? wtc.

my guess 16-15 on auto.

If your car is in good tune, and you can nail a 2.0 or better 60 ft time, then you should be able to hit mid/high 14's at 8 psi. The 60 ft time is what you really need to concenrate on. For every tenth you take off the 60ft, you take off approx 2 tenths in the end 1/4 time. I just ran a 14.6 with a 2.3 60 ft, at 13 psi, so i know i should be able to run at least a 14 flat, if not very high 13's at 13 psi, IF i can nail a sub 2.0 60 ft time(for 13's). Doing that on street tires, FWD, and stock struts, isnt going to happen for me hehe.. If you want the best times possible, get good drag radials(eg. Nitto 555's), take as much weight off of the rear as possible(to lessen weight transfer to the rear when launching), and get adjustable shocks for the rear, and set them as stiff as possible. With that setup, you should nail some really good 60 fters, providing you can launch it well.

On the HRC website it claims Stage 2 on street tires well give you around 13.7 @ 103, thats at 8 psi... How did fullservie get 15.01 @ 97 mph? Thats a big difference. 2 psi higher and over a second slower.

The sebring is a little heavier than an eclipse and comparing Bill Hahn driving with any of us behind the wheel is a joke. Moreover, I think many of those times on HRC's site have the RS on some drag radials at the very least. It's all in the launch, and a solid launch with a FWD car isn't easy.

I only managed a 14.8 with 7.5 psi of boost. Not really tremendous either.

I was actually hoping to dip into the 13's @ 8-9 psi, but if you guys are really having that much trouble, I guess I was a little optimistic about it. I suppose knowing that the car is capable, but just limited by driver and tires makes me feel a little better about it. emoji

The hrc 1/4 mile times are basically impossible to hit( bull sh*t).I think its just a way to sell more kits. Even at 13 psi, for me it was very hard to hit mid/ high 13's and thats with a built block and head. I've never seen anyone with a basic stage II kit@10 psi hit 13's and if so I'd like to know how,and what was wrong with the track!!

RS_Guy has hit a 13.9 at about 10 psi when he used to post here on a stock engine(that he eventually blew). That's before he moved to the middle east and bought a skyline. He still posts here every so often though.

well i will have my money together to go turbo by the end of august and Im hoping for low 14s on a stock bottom end, i think its possible, atleast for me. A guy i know hit a 14.7 at 6psi w/ the HRC kit and b4 going turbo he could only get low 16s, I run 15.4s NA so if his knocked 1.3seconds off his time I should be able to get low 14s (crosses fingers), but we shall see.

My best was a 14.7 @ 97.xxmph. Street tires, stock bottom-end and HRC stage 2, and 12psi. SUCKOLA!!!!!!

Only 1700 more miles before my 2.2L etc, etc, is broken in. Hoping for some mid to low 13's.

the hrc numbers are very possible, with the right driver, if im not mistaken, strauss has hit those numbers at 10 psi'. strauss- correct me if im wrong, and there are several others that has hit those numbers including me, it just depends on the tuning of your car. experience on the tree and driving a boosted car, weather, and location( sea level). im hoping to hit low 13s to high 12s on 10-12 psi's on my new block, and deep 12s with 16-20 on slicks...

this is going to sound very bad, but some of you need to spend more money on tuning and track time than your turbo kits...

yeah, the more i read this post the more i am thinking of staying with the n2o. i am running a 14.5 on street tires now, and that only cost me $400. i was just planning on putting out around $2000 to go slower, somebody better do some real convincing before i dump the cash to go turbo.

True, I only ran 14.8 at 7 psi, but let me tell you, if you ever have an opportunity to run a turbocharged 420a, there won't take much convincing to get one.

To each their own though. emoji

Go to strauss's profile, and read his sig. I believe he did hit 13's on 10psi. I don't know his tire/wheel combo, but I do believe he was on the stock block at that point.

I believe Strauss hit 13's with 11 psi. You have to remember too, for those people runing over stage 2 bootlevels, the ones with built motors, are most likely running low compression. Dropping almost a full point of compression from stock, is close to running one to 2 psi less of boost power wise. Launching a non turbo 420A at the track is MUCH easier than a boosted one. YOu can damn near drop the clutch and floor it, and still get great traction, and hook up. With a turbo, if you do that on street tires, you will just light up the tires, and go nowhere. YOu have to ease out the clutch with high rpms, and to get a snappy launch, that takes lots of practice. Now, get some good drag radials, or slicks on the front, matched with some adjustable shocks in the rear, then you can launch the boosted car much harder, resulting in lower 60ft times, which greatly improves your end ET. I had said this before, by lowering your 60ft by one tenth, you will take off 2 tenths in your end 1/4 ET. I noticed this for every run i made at the track where i improved my 60 ft time. If i got a 2.3 60ft, and ran a 14.6, then by dropping my 60ft to lets say a 2.0, that gets me a 14 second flat 1/4 run. Now, if i can get sub 2.0 60fts, then i'd be running high 13's. Its mostly in the driver, and of course a strong running car. Not too many people can get sub 2.0 60fts with a turbo FWD and street tires...For those who have high expectations with their turbo, go to the track and make a run. You'll quickly see its not so easy as it looks emoji

Ok.. all i have to say.. is that sometimes.. people aren't worried about going fast in a straight line. I personally do autox racing.. and went to the track once in my life.. I don't think that going to the track matters worth two sh*ts...

If i pull up next to you on the street.. i'll garantee i'll kick your ass.. i know how to handle my car on the street.. but when it comes to the track.. totally different terrain.. I would like to see the time slip for the guy who said he ran a 13 even.. i doubt that seriousl emoji

I ran a 14.773 @93.94 on 6 PSI(at least that's what my boost gauge said. That was with a pathetic 2.304 60' time in about 60 degree weather.
Supporting mods are 2.5" turbo back exhaust with no cat
Cam gears(set at 0 though since no dyno time)
UDP
Ported and polished TB
plugs and wires
215/40/17 Toyo Proxes FZ4 on the fronts
HRC stage 2 with SMIC

Best I could squeeze before we raplced the stock DP with the 2.5 was a 15.1@ 96ish.....that and the fact that I learned to launch a little better helped. Even still though at the top end of 1st it'll break the tires loose and then spin a bit through 2nd.
Didn;t feel like sizing it down, but here is the slip from that day, just take out the space.. sorry for the size but I'm to lazy to resize it.....
http://www.angelfire.com/pa/dynamicdjs/images/TimeSlip.JP G

We have about the same mods and the weight should be about the same seeing as how I had around 300Lbs of stereo in the back at the time.

That was with about 115K on the engine also, didn;t put the kit on until around 110,000 on her. Now she's up on jack stands and getting tore down for the rebuild....

Strauss ran his runs on a built motor...but with STOCK injectors, and i believe he boost spiked to 13psi or so and would settle at 11psi. he also did this at an INSANELY high mph(like 115mph if i remember correctly). and im pretty sure he was on drag radials... but maybe not. he showed the slips, so i really hope it wasnt him the above guy was callin out. my most recent run, was at our local 1/8th mile track, on Nitto drag radials and 13-14psi. cut a 2.015 60' time, and ran a best of 8.3@88mph, with consistent 8.4's and 8.5's the whole evening. its all in the launch. 10psi is plenty to get into the 13's with the right tire/driver combo. better indicator of what the actual car is capable of without the driver holding it back, is the trap speed.

14.8 @ 94 mph at 8 psi and 110 octane gas. I admit I can't launch the car that well but it is pretty well tuned.

i completely agree with this... the trap speed is a good indicator of the situation. i think all of these setups varie so much that you can almost not compare one to the next, now im not talking about drivers, just the setups alone with the same driver would yield diffrent results. but its really cool to see what people have run with theirs..

anyone ever thought of a drive-thru parts store? that would be cool!

ha! Last time i went to the track my best time was 15.6! That was on crap tires and pump gas. I could'nt keep the car on the ground at all and the track was shitty. I still have stock suspention too. I just got larger tires and tuned a bit so I'm hoping to do better next time. Ogh yeah that was at 10 psi. boy do i feel like a looser, heh.

I ran a 14.3 @97 mph on 8 psi with a stock motor. My friend Brian who used to have a GS with a star kit ran a 13.8 @102 on 11psi with a stock motor. I havent been to the track in about a year but I wil be going very shortly and I expect atleast mid 13's and 100mph+.

My times sucked for 12-13 psi, but traction is such a big issue for me from a stop. Now from a roll, i have had several races with Camaros and trans ams, and I can pull them slightly from racing from a roll. Now those car run high 13's stock, so I know my car is capable of high 13's if I can just launch the damn thing!

IMO, I really dont like looking at 1/4 mi track times to show how fast a car is. There are too many variables that can cause a slower track time. I like racing head to head, from a second gear roll, to realy see how well my car stacks up on the road. Cause really, its a street car, not a drag bitch emoji

Where in NJ are you??
If you know where Island Dragway in Great Meadows NJ is go there on a friday night. There is a guy that runs there with a 1g that runs 13's. He lives by me in PA and drives the car there, runs it and drives it home, its about a 40 min drive one way. I talked to him a few times the car was a non-turbo, he bought a turbo motor from Japan and did the swap. I'm not sure what he has done to it but I believe its pretty stock and like I said he drives it to the track so he is running street tires. I saw him there last Fri. and he ran a 13.2 his batt. were dead in his pocket logger so he didn't tune it from the week before. If the weather is nice I'm gonna go over this Fri. to see what he runs. He said his turbo back exhaust and some other stuff was suppose to be in this week. His goal is to run low 12's high 11's before he adds nitrous.
My goal it to run low 12's WITHOUT a turbo emoji

this really does not matter to most of you, but i think knowing how much hp you have is better (well to me). that or race me on the street and see how you do. hehe.. really we mostly 'race' on the street, when you do your 1/4 mile time i beat your not looking or even thinking about racing the other car beside you since you are thinking about what your 1/4 time is right?

When i lived in Las Vegas i ran a 15.02 @97mph on the stock hrc stage II kit with 8psi on street tires. I moved back to oklahoma and ran a 14.2@99mph with a little better launch and a shitload lower alititude. Once i built the bottom end and put on hks bov and turbo xs boost controller with a set of drag radials on 17lbs of boost i hit a best of 13.2@116mph with a 1.98 60 ft. I added the alcohol injection and 75 shot of nos but never got to run it, now i'm selling everything. These things are awesome though.

HRC Stage II kit, hks bov, hks electronic b/c, apexi turbo timer, apexi safc, je pistons, crower pro billit rods, 330cc injectors, centerforce d/f clutch, alcohol injection kit, nitrous xpress 75 shot, bfg drag radials, was that blur a camaro?

Well, Nitrous RS1997 hit it right on the head. I was running a built bottom end with stock injectors. Boost was spiking to about 12-13psi and settling to about 11psi. I was running BFG G-force drag radials on my 17" wheels at the time. The track I run at is only about 50ft. above sea level and being that I live in upstate NY, hot weather was not an issue. If I had slicks, I would have been in the 12's, no doubt.....I was spinning the shit out of my tires. The best 60' I could muster was a 2.15 and I ran 13.66@115.9mph on that run. That was my best trap speed, but I also ran a 13.528@106.7. The reason my trap was lower on that run was I powershifted into fourth gear and got compressor surge since my BOV didn't vent. My car studdered for a quick sec then pulled off. That day I had 2 other passes besides the 2 mentioned above: 14.09@113.5mph with a 2.379 60' and 14.20@114.13mph with a 2.456 60'. It's all in getting the car off the line, and shifting like lightning emoji

17 psi's on 330cc injectors?

1.98 60ft time, and trapped a 116mph trap speed on 17psi's?

13.2 and trapped a 116 mph trap on slicks

im calling major bullshit imo...
