#48040, "A little turbo rebuild FYI"

I have been really busy, but happen to get out to a junk yard to pick up some stuff and I noticed a turbo rebuild place next door. I was pressed for time and had to give them a call the next day. The tech told me (I have a GN T3 laying around) that 90% of all turbo's "should" be balanced. Unless the unit was flawless and the shaft, part they actually balance, had zero wear it would need balancing. So being the broke college kid I am, I asked about just balancing the shaft and if I were to rebuild it with a kit. He said there's nothing wrong with that and they would just charge $40 plus the cost of the kit.(about $90) Since my buddy has already claimed the T3 and asked me to rebuild it, I'll see if I can get a write-up,some pics, and a reliability test. I know that Corbin had done rebuilt his Mits. and had it fail later. He also included that he did not have the shaft balanced. So hopefully by balancing the shaft, it will run like OEM and only for a little elbow grease and about $130.

Shit is all apart. Typical...
