#47882, "Vortech FMU Disk question...."

I bought a Vortech FMU off of ebay a month ago or so, and it was new, however i have no idea what disk is in it. is there one they all come with from the factory? if so what is that size?

i am trying to figure out my fuel pressures, and i have the FMU, walbro 255hp fuel pump, and stock injectors. will be running either 6 or 8 psi of boost.

any and all info appreciated!!

thanks

anyone ever thought of a drive-thru parts store? that would be cool!

The sfmu ships from vortech with 4 washers and 2 springs. It also had rings for some of the washers. I think you can order the replacement stuff from vortech. Do you have the instruction book for it? It shows what washer you need for your fuel curve. I have the pdf of it if you need it, msg me on aim spinalazusa. And if you ask me anything over 100 psi fuel pressure is too much!! Your injectors can only squeeze so much gas through them, so if you need more than 100 psi its time to upgrade your injectors. If you need a bleed valve for the sfmu the one off the billet cartech fpr from hahn will work if you got that.

OK... well all i got was a blue FMU in a box.. no springs, washers, or anything... is there a way to tell when you open it up?

any assistance is good... i will be starting the car for the first time tommarow, so i should probably look into that right away..

thanks

sheeit, my fault. I was thinking about the sfmu. I dont know about the regular fmu. But they both work the same, you will need calibration washers from vortech to change the fuel curve.
