hopefully over the summer im goin turbo! emoji emoji
i jus had some quick questions for anyone who can answer them. i was thinkin about goin hrc stage II on a bone stocker engine, 45k on it. sound good? whats around the final price for the stage II. i remember the hrc used to have a page with price listing but i cant find it. ive heard things about star but majority rules seems to go with the hahn. jus wondering how much of an advantage a stage II would be over a GS-T? stock -vs- stock. also, how much (for people who didnt do it themselves) did it run you to have a professional install the kit? i should be coming back with around 4gs after the summer... is it really worth the money? or should i sell the na and save the grip i make and go for factory made turbo (gst, gsx, tsi)?

I would say it's better to install the turbo yourself. You'll learn a lot about tuning engines that will serve you better than knowing you can just go buy a new one.

BTW, if the "bone stocker" engine you mention is the blown one in your sig, I wouldn't advise it. emoji

Yeah a novice can do it. But take your time, seriously.. its not worth breaking stuff to get it done 10 minutes quicker. And if you have to replace your engine i would sugest building it up while its out of the car. Forged pistons and rods in the bottom, and pt lifters and rockers in the head. I would also suggest some nice cams while you got the head apart. But you can do most of the head work with the engine in the car. So get the bottom end built and then save up for the turbo, then do the headwork when you get that itch for more boost. Dont be a whore and get the fmic, smic's suck. emoji
