center to center on ML is 45mm, center to center on manifold is 43mm. what gives? anyone else have this problem...?

i noticed that too... i just started the screws w/ the ml not touching the mani, then just screwed it down.

Yeah, mine was so off that I had to drill each hole in the ML out an extra 1/16". I suppose there was a design change in the manifold at some point. I have a 1997 Avenger manifold.

Yea, i just drilled the ML out a bit also. should work now...

Yeah, I noticed that as well when I installed Ryan's. His took a little effort, but we used the method as described above, through not mating the ML with the surface right off the bat. Then we merely screwed it down with it sitting off the surface. His is a 99'.

On my 98, I screwed it down easily through mating the surface with the ML, and that went without issue. There may have been a bad run of ML's apparently.

I've installed 2 missing links recently, and both had the alignment issue. I did what was said above. Both times, one was my 98, and the other was soulcontroller's 98. The first one i had on my car(gave it to Matt_95tgs when my motor was down), fit perfectly. That had been bought at least a year and a half ago. The two that didnt fit perfectly, were new.

Yep me too!! i just installed mine this weekend, and i also had to drill mine out a 1/16" or so, and it still didnt want to go very good, but at least i could start the new screws...

anyone ever thought of a drive-thru parts store? that would be cool!
