What kind of intercooler is that? I wish I could find an intercooler with end tanks on the same side.

In order to get higher idle fuel pressures, you must use the optional short, dark spring. DONT fully tighten down the top adjustment bolt on the SFMU, as this can damage it. The short dark spring should let you run a higher idle fuel pressure. Be sure there is no vac leaks at teh SFMU at all either. Also, dont over tighten the SFMU lid when you put it back together. Snug them up evenly.

Hey SFMU guys i have a quesion when the car start boosting 1,2,3,4 -7psi does the fuel pressure should be at over 100 after is hit 1psi or will it gradually get up there ????

maybe your fuel pump can't keep up with your fuel demand. I hope not cause i have the same one. Maybe a fuel filter

do you still have the stock fpr on? if so you must remove it.. I had the same problem. if you have the SFMU you can't have the stock fpr conected.

Also, you asked about the rate in which the fuel pressure will rise at certain psi levels. The fuel pressure should rise based on the level of boost the SFMU see's. How much it raises depends on how you set it up.

I suggest you look at the post about Fuel Flow with the Walbro pump. Without bigger injectors, you may not get enough flow. At 100-110 psi, the Walbro pump has very low flow rates. Might look into bigger injectors. You should be able to find some 30# squirters for less than 100 bucks.

a big problem that i am encountering is that the car is running really lean even when it is not boosting i am not sure what could be the problem ???

can you guys give me ideas, the guy set the base pressure at 70 since it was running lean and still is runnig lean even when it is nto boosting and it should not be. on the A/F gauge does not even go pass the red it stays in the red. could it be that the o2 sensor is connected bad ??? or something ??

please help...

thanks

i really apreciate it

Edit: By the way, an A/F gauge only works at full throttle, the rest of the time it just cycles.

Well, if you're lean, give it more fuel. What's your idle fuel pressure?

Try a different ground wire for your A/F gauge. You couldn't possibly be that lean if your fp @ boost is 70 psi. 70 does sound a little low. Try another ground. If it still shows lean, add some more fuel pressure. If it doesn't change the gauge, get a new guage, or keep trying different grounds.

that is high for iddle presusre 70psi.

Now i knwo the gauge is reading right becuase when i open my hood my turbine housing was while showing that it was running lean and the car will not move no wehre.

Now the turbo only seeing boost in 3rd gear, do you guys think is too big ???

Your idle pressure is not 70 psi. Should be somewhere around 45-55 psi. At 5 psi of boost, I think you want to be somewhere around 75-85 psi of fuel pressure..

As for only boosting in 3rd gear, well... I have no idea how that is possible.
