So the general understanding is that we shouldnt run above 10psi on our engines. But is there a difference between running 10psi on a 16G turbo to 10psi on a 14b turbo? Assuming that the CFM of the 14b is 405cfm and the 16G is 505cfm, hypothetically that should mean that at 10psi of boost the 16g is still pushing more air, right??
So then is running 10psi on a 14b the same as on a 16g? If the Hahn stage 1 runs at 6psi with a 16g, does that mean that the 14b should be run at a higher boost pressure to create equivalent air flow and power? I hope I dont sound like an idiot

No you don't sound stupid. It's a common question, and you got the answer right the first time.
A bigger turbo at the same PSI (given adequate fuel) will make more power than a smaller one.
I personally would not run more than 9psi on the HRC S16G, and 7-8psi on the STAR with stock internals. You could probably run a T2small at 12psi. Get the CFM ratings for each turbo and you can calculate it out.

Im personally using a 14b for my custom setup. Does anyone know a formula or something to calculate airflow at different boost pressures that works for all turbos? Or can I just figure that out by looking at the compressor maps?
