#46901, "About installing turbo..."

I want to konw whta I have to check before starting to install turbo.
I read from other post. they talked about vacuum leaks.....
Well, in the winter and when it's cold, and I just start my car. My RPM will hover a little when I release the clutch when the temperature is cold. is that mean I have vacuum leaks?? but it's been like that for two winters..and I thought it's normal. Like a warm up thing.

Also, I am installing a turbo soon.... what other things I should change for good? (other then rebuild engine which I will do after summer)

My car is now close to 70,000 miles. I got my car when it's 34,000 which is two years ago.
I never change anything (other then modification) except engine Oil, air filter, and transmission oil.
Should I change the O2 sensor? Fuel filter? what other basic things I should replace to make my car more efficient and run smooth?
My mileage went down ALOT ever since I added a cold air intake. Is that normal? I went from a full tank on highway from: 400miles to 300miles... city from: 280-320 to like 180-240.

Can you guys just tell me a list of what I should check and change and replace.

Thanks guys!
Any input is greatly appreciated.

At 70k miles I just hope you did your 60k maintenence. If you havent done your timing belt do it pronto. Id say definately give your compression a check, and get a leakdown test too. This will let you know the general shape of your engine. Overall, id definately change your spark plugs and fuel filter. Obviously change the oil and oil filter when you install (duh). You might want to run some combustion chamber cleaner prior to your install to clear out your intake mani and your pistons. Also run some fuel injector cleaner prior to the install and start using premium gasoline 92/93 octane a good week before you begin the install. Im sure I missed something though, someone else help me out emoji

thats normal. you car should idle at a little higher RPM's when its cold.

if your engine is taking in more air, it will use more fuel. if you
front o2 sensor is in need of replacing, your gas milage will decrease too.
