Hey i have a question and need opinions of my fuel system i have so far for a boost install i will be starting this weekend. I have a Vortech FMU, Stock FPR, Stock injectors, Walbro 255 HP Fuel Pump.

Will this be a problem with 8 psi? i plan on upgrading to 30# injectors and s-afc soon after, but from what i have read here so far i should be OK, but i just wanted to hear it from people who actually have it or have had it...

thanks emoji

anyone ever thought of a drive-thru parts store? that would be cool!

Well I don't have it, but I think it sounds ok to me. 8 psi might be on the fringe for the stockers, hopefully someone else will have a good opinion about that.

But what I really wanted to point out was that if you intend on upgrading the injectors at some point then you will need to lower the static fuel pressure and you can't do that with the stock fpr. You could install an adjustable fpr to make it work, but most people round here like to just replace the FMU AND fpr with a SFMU cause it does the job of both in one neat little package.

yeah, like metaljim said, you should go w/ the sfmu... it's just so much better and has so many more options than the fmu. however, i wouldn't run only the walbro255 1/ the stock injectors. your fuel pressures will need to be too high for the walbro handle. you'l never get enough fuel for 8psi from it. if you are going to upgrade to 30lb injects anyway, then you might as well do it now. in this case you could use just the walbro, but you will need the sfmu. if you must run stock injects then get an inline pump as well as or instead of the walbro pump.

as for the safc... you don't need it, and it will do more harm then good. don't waste your money on it.
