#46559, "o-ring on "high pressure fuel rail connector""

the connector that delivers the fuel to the rail, on the drivers side. the manual says that once it is removed, the little o-ring needs to be replaced. did any of you guys(who changed injects) replace it? it looks fine. also, what's the best way to get to the 2 bolts that hold the rail to the mani? i really don't feel like taking off the upper plenum, but my hand barely fits in there and i don't have very big hands. what you guys do to get these out?

If the o-ring is still pliable and not damaged, then re-use it. As for the bolts, I used a 1/4" drive ratched with extension (8 mm socket). I probably removed the battery too. Its doable...

thanks for the reply... yeah the o-ring looks fine, so i'm just gonna reuse it. i ended up taking off the tb and cruise bracket. then i was able to get the bolts out and then in. i reinstalled the rail w/ the new injects, but when i popped them in it was almost impossible to keep the tips of the injectors from touching the head/mani. hopefully it won't clog them or anything. also, when i popped them back in, i popped in the pass side one, and then the drivers side one, and i think all the rest popped in. i tried my best to push on the middle two individually, but it's hard to get leverage. they feel like they're in. would it be possible for them to not be all the way in while the end two are? the rail doesn't seem like it would "give" enough for that to happen.

I wouldn't worry about that, when I changed my rail I thought the same thing, it just "feels" that way, they are in there. Start it up and check for leaks then you'll know for sure.
